Tonya Update

Just a quick update to let you know what's going on with Tonya. The doc came in this morning and said she will be in the hospital over the weekend. They won't know anything about the blood cultures until Monday. In the mean time she is receiving IV antibiotics and meds to keep her comfortable. We won't know anything more until Monday. She is still running a fever, as I expect she will until the infection is under control. That's about it for now. You know everything I know and I don't suppose anything will change until Monday. Once again if anyone would like to call Tonya her room number is 256-235-8306.

Tonya Hospitalized

Wednesday night Tonya was up all night sick and running a fever of 103. We called the doctor this morning and when he found out about the fever he said go immediately to the hospital. So we have been there since 12:30 this afternoon. The doctor came in about 7:30 and said if the Groshong they put in 6 weeks ago is infected again it was coming out. He feels that it is due to the high fever, but he still wants to wait on blood cultures to come back first. So, Tonya is in Stringfellow 306. Her room phone is 256-235-8306. We are kinda in limbo right now, but I feel sure that Groshong is coming out by Monday. That's about it for now. I will keep you informed on the changes.
