Still Kicking; Not Stirring Up Much Dust.

Bill Fortner IS alive and well...sort of. You may be wondering why you have not seen me in church or in the choir. Well there is a plausable reason. While my surgery went very well, my back went...well it still hurts and hurts a bunch. None of this came as a surprise as considerable work was done on my back. The large nerve that exits my spinal cord and runs down to my pinkie toe takes no notice when I rebuke it so I must take pain mitigating medicine. My recent trip to the doctor indicated that something a trifle stronger was necessary. This is the reason I am not in church. Most of you think I am not too tightly wrapped on my best days and the previous medication made that worse. Now that I am taking this new medication I don't want your first thought to be of Walt Disney's Goofy when you see me or hear my name mentioned.
